✨ Creating a legacy of love and opportunity ✨ ✨ Creating a legacy of love and opportunity ✨ When the Pollard family generously donated to the Eanes Endowment via the Special Education Endowment Fund ("SEE Fund"), they did so in honor of their daughter, @ftefalcons student Brooklyn: "When our daughter Brooklyn was born with Down syndrome, we knew we had to do everything in our power to help her develop the skills she needed to help her reach her full potential. The SEE Fund will provide essential resources to help Eanes ISD, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students who may require additional assistance." We thank the Pollards for recognizing that EEF and the SEE Fund provide a sustainable and strategic source of Special Education support, focusing on long-term fundraising to address ongoing financial challenges. The SEE Fund specifically seeks to enrich the educational experience for all students and teachers, addressing critical areas identified through discussions with parents and @eanesisd @eisdse, including: 📚 Recognizing and supporting Special Education educators and teaching assistants ✍ Professional development and training for educators 🏫 Teacher recruitment and support for mentoring programs 💚 Inclusive extracurricular programs To learn more about the Eanes Endowment and the SEE Fund please leave us a comment or click the link in our bio✨ #wefundteachers #SEEthepossibilities #specialeducation
👋 Please welcome Katie Detamore, your new EEF D 👋 Please welcome Katie Detamore, your new EEF Development Director! Katie's passion for volunteering began with the National Charity League alongside her mom. She has volunteered with a wide variety of places in the Austin community including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Side by Side Kids, and the Junior League. Katie is a UT alumna - go, Horns! - and loves travel and learning about different cultures, as well as reading and her weekly mahjong group. Katie describes what about EEF's mission excites her, "I deeply appreciate the work that EEF does for our community. My family instilled in me a strong passion for education, and I feel honored to support our educators and make an impact for the future of the children in our community."
