🌟 We’re proud to spotlight Kristine Vanwisse, 🌟 We’re proud to spotlight Kristine Vanwisse, beloved @whs_chaps Spanish 3 & 4 teacher! A native Austinite and dedicated educator since 1997, Ms. Vanwisse brings more than 25 years of experience teaching multiple foreign languages. With a master’s degree in the psychology of second-language acquisition, she’s deeply attuned to how students' minds learn best. 💬 The Bluestein family shared, “Ms. Vanwisse was always patient and supportive of her students, making learning a new language as easy as she could!” Thank you, Ms. Vanwisse, for sharing your passion and expertise with the students of @eanesisd. ☀ Even though school's out for summer, our work ☀ Even though school's out for summer, our work honoring teachers is never done! Today, we're spotlighting Elizabeth Bassimakopolous, Valley View Elementary librarian. Ms. Bassimakopolous just finished her 5th year at VVE and 13th year in education overall. Her path to VVE included work as a 4th grade teacher, middle school librarian, and even a short stint in a school library in Russia! A UT graduate, Ms. Bassimakopolous enjoys supporting her students in their journey to being lifelong readers. Student Gray Allison writes about Ms. Bassimakopolous: "Thank you for being the best librarian and letting me check out 'Cool Cookies' every single week!"
